About Madge
I had a lot of traumatic crap happen while raising my kids alone and I survived with humor. I’m a loud, short, curvy, redhead. I’m where inspirational insight meets humor and sometimes naughty words. Ok, a lot of naughty words. Sometimes raunchy, sometimes eloquent.
I have been a freelance writer for several years. I studied Broadcast Production at the University of Maine. Following college I worked in radio and TV for ten years.
After 20 years of mothering and doing a lot of jobs I hated just to survive, I wrote two books and started podcasting. My books include – “When Life Gives You Lemons… at Least You Won’t Get Scurvy” and “Snap Out of It!”
I am a divorced mother of 3 adult children. I raised my kids mostly by myself through poverty and crises, got them all through college and they became kind, funny, productive humans. I enjoy dive bars, fine dining, new wave/punk/ska music , writing, and being a Mom.
